Feel…

I loved the museum for its textures and surfaces.  The small details which were present were very meaningful to me, and are things which are overlooked in our mechanized and technology driven society, and I believe I miss those types of things, even though I am substantially “of” this era.  The nets and fishing gear, the old painting supplies, even the finish of the oil based paints on all of the doors and windows made me envy a different way of life.  There were no plastic, pressboard, falsely existing objects.  Touching and feeling was welcome at the Zuiderzeemuseum, and I lingered over the things I encountered, first with my hands and then with my camera.  I felt like I wanted to capture some of that tactility, and be able to feel it again by looking.
